OPINION: Approximately 80 percent of real estate agents get in and out of the business every three years. There are about 1000 agents per million of population --approximately 70 percent of them will be active agents. In the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, of the number of active agents about 10 to 15 per cent do most of the sales and make most of the money. That same 10-15% are the ones that last more than three years and often become career agents. Of the approximate 200 to 300 Pittsburgh career agents, we have interacted repeatedly over time with many of them; a few have consistently sent their customers to our notoriously thorough, diligent and detailed style of inspecting and reporting. Many of these will know our company or will probably know Rodney Harkness personally, and may have known him for a decade or more. It might be interesting to hear what they have to say.

Over the years we have bumped into many local Real Estate Agents. As time went by, as a result of our stringent work, we gradually gained an ever wider referral base. Now, a relativley small per cent of our home inspection work comes to us through real estate agents (we offer many services), helping us become more independent.
